April Fools

Caden wrote himself a note last night reminding him self of today April 1st. He slept in this morning. As I was taking a bath a little knock on my door asked me if I wanted some soy milk. (my kids like to bring me breakfast in bed.) I said no thank you. Come to find out my little jokester put soap and tooth paste in my milk. Since when did my 7 year old get so crafty?

Bugs

More Bugs

Insect lore is a great place to buy bugs. Yes I am buying bugs to bring in to my home. Did I mention I do NOT like them.

A couple of month ago the first box (not from insect lore) came ups. The box was marked Live Organism open emieditly. (EEEWWWWW) So I did very slowly. Then I called Caden. Open the box I told him. Inside the box was a carton, similar to a small ice cream carton. IT WAS MOVING! Here I told him open it. Then the door bell rang. It was Caden CT. She came in and picked up all 4 hermit crabs and put them in their new home. YUCK I do not like them. They are creepy.

Now we move on

7 days ago our caterpillars came in the mail. but they are in a sealed container. As soon as the spin the cocoon we move them to their net. They were very small when we got them. and now they are HUGE. Guess they are on their way to become a beautiful butterfly.

I don't like bugs but they keep finding their way in to my house. I don't like bugs but I love my boys.

My sweet Boys

My boys are growing so fast.

While cleaning the office I came across all the "love letters" Caden has written me. He loves to write me little notes telling me he loves me. It is so sweet

Yesterday morning Owen came in my room with a yogurt and nutrition drink. He said "here is your breakfast mom. It is gluten free. "

Now as I write this Caden is in Owens room reading to him.

Time Flys ( I am remembering)

I can't believe it is spring break.

My kids are getting so big.

O is gong to turn 5 in October. I will be home schooling 2 kids in September. C is 7!...7 ! how did I become the mom of a 7 year old. I always new I would be mom of baby and a toddler and a preschooler. My gosh! What do you do with 7 year old's.

My kids are enjoying swim lessons. C is a fish out of water. O is an army air plane out of water. He gives new names to all the swim moves. The star fish he re-named the army air plane. He even makes shooting noises under water. O loves army. He wears Camo every single day expect Sunday. We make him wear something else to Church. I have never seen so much camo in my life.

Recalling some of his sayings (from years past)

We heading out side bear foot. I told him O you can not go out side with bear feet. (o looking at me puzzled) said My don't have bear feet, My have kid feet.

When telling him the was asleep and it was time for him to go to bed
(looking at me with a puzzled look he said)

The sun sleep in a sun bed and the moon sleep in a moon bed

Recently

We went to the court house to get his birth certificate. When asked what we did today he said "we went to the court house to get my birthday ticket.

Praise God!

Praise God

I don't think it is gluten. I tried going gluten free for about a month with no improvement. Hopefully things will just clear up all on there own.

On my gluten free quest I did discover that Amy's Gluten free frozen foods are very good! General mills now changed some of their ingredients so they too are gluten free. Whole foods will make any sandwich you want on gluten free bread.

Pizza

Going gluten free is hard. I am learning to adjust. I found gluten free pancakes at Trader Joes that are yummy for breakfast. Bobs red mill rice ceral that is good alos. I know it is better to make all your food from scratch but I can't find the time. I home school my 2 boys. I run them all over town. I am having a hard time finding time to cook everything. Cereal is easy and quick. But it looks like God has other plans.

I made shrimp scampi this week. I used Trader Joes Rice sticks for the pasta. I was surprised. The noodles were very good.

My favorite food in the whole world is pizza. If I was stranded on a desert island and could only have one thing that is what it would be. I was in tears when I thought about not eating it any more. But goood news bobs red mill make a GF pizza crust mix. I added a few spice to the mix and it was pretty good. Even my kids ate it.

Gluten Free

After a reasent bought with 7 days of stomach pain, I decided to look in to it further. I started doing to research on the internet. I discovered all my syptoms pointed toward Celiac Disease. Which is basically the inability to digest gluten.

That begs the questions what can I eat? What about eating out?

Today I tried Trader Joes Guten Free Dariy Free forzen pan cakes. They were very yummy! Just like the real thing. I also had a banana and coffee.

For lunch I went to Whole Food look for more food choices. They have a bakery and will make any sandwich on gluten free bread. They sandwich was good. The bread was a brown rice bread made by ener-g. It was dry and grainy.

I also went to Trader Joe's. The have a print out of 7 pages of Gluten free product that they carry.
